What I gave my coaching clients to follow to lose up to 10lbs in 14 days...
For some, it's a
part of their personality... maybe yours, too.
Seeing nearly instant results can be motivating. I get it.
So for some of my clients that want that amazing jumpstart so they can see some results, and it keeps them going for the long-term.
Now many of the "jumpstarts" or "challenges" I see are extreme and the weight comes piling back on once you're done.
Not this action plan...
... especially if you're a "mid-lifer" or older.
The better and more realistic way to lose weight FAST is to focus on hormonal balance.
A 2011 study from the Journal of Obesity showed those who focused solely on hormonal balance lost 65% MORE weight compared to those who were counting calories.
After just 8 weeks of this shift, they also had a 34% decrease in their waist alone.
This is the schedule "template" I created for my coaching clients for an amazing jumpstart that doesn't focus on calorie-counting, but instead focusing on optimized hormones:
Day 1: Ten-Hour Protocol
Combine certain foods together (more than likely, you already have these foods in your kitchen) to expedite your metabolism
Ramp up your metabolism by 30% by drinking an exact amount of water throughout the day (but not within 2 hours of
bedtime)
Set the tone with your first meal, whether you fast or not. This sets the metabolic processes at a higher level that attack stored fat and what to eat before bed so you burn fat while you sleep.
So far, the record for this is 5.5lbs in a day - by simply following the 10-hour protocol!
Use foods you either already have or you can easily grab at your local grocery store. In other words, "Organic beet and organic sweet potato hash with organic extra virgin coconut oil" should NOT be on your menu LOL (unless you like cooking like that
stuff).
Have some flexibility and don't be so strict, but certainly combine certain nutrients because you'll boost fat-burning hormones and metabolic rate!
Day 9: (repeat Day 1)
Days 10-14: (repeat days 2-7)
Of course, it was VITAL they plugged in pancakes, nachos, pizza, etc. throughout the 14 days to optimize their leptin levels and avoid burnout. The best time to do this was just before the 10-hour protocol day as your body is "primed" to metabolize fat cells after a feast :)
Now will you lose up to 10lbs in 14 days following this?
I don't know - it's up to you if you commit to it and how much weight you have to lose. If you're 25 with single digit body fat, this isn't a great fit for you.
And it's no secret that if
you exercise in combination with this, you'll lose insane amounts of fat (which is why I gave my clients a specific exercise plan that now includes options where you don't even have to get on the floor).
