Swiss cheese...
My little buddy, Swiss cheese.
One small hack I do around Halloween with all the candy floating around is "install" a rule for myself. I can have Halloween
candy, but not until after I have a slice of Swiss cheese...
You can do this with Swiss cheese or any other protein source such as a Greek yogurt, 1-2 hardboiled eggs, 2-3 slices of sliced ham, etc. Another "go-to" I use is turkey pepperoni (here come the chemical police lol).
But
by having that protein/fat first, it slows you down. It keeps you from having 20 miniature peanut butter cups VS 2-3.
Now the "next level" would be to eat the protein first, then wait 15 minutes before eating the candy, but I totally get it if you already see the candy or know where it is. :)
But
installing this simple habit helps a lot with the desire to eat the fun-sized Snickers like potato chips, one after another.
And speaking of "next level"...
