Sunday night, roughly 8:20PM (way past my bedtime)...
Â
I was in the church kitchen washing dishes after the event. I was the only one in the kitchen at the time and all the leftovers were on the counter...
Â
Bacon wrapped crescent something something (not sure what it was but
they were tasty)...
Â
Chicken taquitos...
Â
Sliders...
Â
Cookies...
Â
Then I got
caught...
Â
I took a 5-spice cookie (imagine a gingerbread cookie but better) and put the whole thing in my mouth so my hands would be free to wash dishes. The hospitality leaders came walking into the kitchen and said hi...
Â
The thing was - I couldn't. My mouth was STUFFED.Â
Â
I wasn't embarrassed about the cookie, but I was embarrassed about looking like a chipmunk. All I could do was wave and they laughed.
Â
I have no regrets on the cookies thought (yeah, I had multiple cookies).Â
Â
Nor do
I regret eating the delicious bacon-wrapped crescent something somethings or the mouth-water sliders or even the peppermint sugar cookies.
Â
The "trick" to eating breads, sweets, and carbs isn't that hard. You
can actually even use breads as fuel to lose fat if you do it right.
Â
That way, the Christmas treats you love are working with you VS against you. :)
Â
Talk to you later,
Mikey
