Time to bust that myth wide open...
Let’s keep it simple. Think about your car. No fuel, no movement, right?
Your body isn’t any different.
Carbs? They’re not the enemy—they’re premium gas.
Now, hold up… before you go wolfing down every donut in sight...
I’m talking the premium stuff as premium gas. Fruits. Veggies. Whole grains. These are your allies.
While donuts, cookies, and ice cream are totally fine on occasion - they should be viewed as treats, not staples.
Side note - many of those foods have more calories from fat than from carbs so they shouldn’t really
be viewed strictly as “carbs” anyway, but I digress...
Here’s the real talk—eating carbs won't make you fat. Not at all.
Overeating is the real culprit, not your pasta dinner.
Your body’s much smarter than what you give credit for.
Feed it well, and it turns food into energy, not extra padding. Misuse it, and well, that's when things get wacky.
Think of your body like a campfire. Need to get that fire roaring? Carbs are the kindling.
Just be sure to pair them with an appropriate amount of protein and you'll see your energy levels lift off, along with balancing your blood sugar.
Worried about feeling slow? Scratch that.
The right carbs act like turbochargers. Feel that euphoria after a great meal? That's good fuel at work.
