They are gaining popularity really fast - especially now that fall is here...
Detoxes.
So you drink some magical drink in the morning, starve
yourself all day by having a nibble of a hard-to-find veggie here and there, and of course some kind of expensive, over-rated "miracle superfood" for dinner.
You find yourself irritable, hungry, and with a strained metabolism.
Ahhh, the magic of detoxes.
The truth is - most detoxes ARE dangerous.
However, it's a double-edged sword. When a detox is done RIGHT, the benefits are amazing:
- Bust stubborn weight loss
plateaus
- Decreases "puffiness" in the lower belly
- Improves mood and energy
- Improves and stabilizes blood sugar
- Reduces inflammation, allowing your joints to feel better so you can move easier
- Fastest, yet safest way to lose fat (great
jumpstart program)
Again, that's when a detox is done right.
So if any detox calls for you to NOT eat or eat very little - AVOID it. You'll wreak your metabolism and gain the weight back.
Fortunately, I've reviewed several detoxes and I wasn't impressed with any of them until I looked at my friend Erin's. And she's living proof.
