A few weeks ago, I shared a very simple "cravings crusher".
But I failed to mention the positive "side effects" of doing this,
too.
Long story short, if you struggle with cravings and seem to keep things in check for most of the day but find yourself raiding the cabinets at night, here's a quick solution...
Whenever I chat with someone who tells me they're "good all day" and then snack at night...
Their morning routine often looks like chaos. They are in a rush and they shove a bagel in their mouth on the way out the door or perhaps a cereal bar as their first "meal" of the day.
So here's what you're going to do instead...
Eat a real meal for your first meal of the day. More specifically, eat 30-40g of protein. Repeat again for dinner.
It's an amazing "magic effect" for late night snacking. However...
Wait, there's more. I know, I know. Bare with me...
And, it’s the name of a study published in the October 2009 edition of a journal called, Nutrition, Metabolism, and Cardiovascular Diseases.
Researchers found that when you increase your protein intake versus a standard diet, overweight men and women with higher than median triglyceride (fat in the bloodstream) levels,
- Lost 19% more weight
- Lost 26.7% more total fat
- Lost 37.6% more belly fat
Finally, in a meta-analysis across 24 different scientific high-protein trials, researchers found the following in comparing the results of high protein diets to standard diets for weight loss:
- 90% greater reductions in body weight
- 45% greater decrease in body fat loss
- 49% greater decrease in triglyceride levels
The easiest way to implement this is starting with a shake for your first meal of the day. Make sure it's:
A) A quality protein source (many protein shake companies put crappy protein in their product, leaving you feeling bloated)
B) No added fillers
C) It has to taste good - otherwise, it will feel like a chore (force-feeding yourself any food is a recipe for disaster).
Crush your cravings and lose nearly 38% more belly fat
It's a simple shift you can do now,
