I once did a cleanse
way back in 2001 or 2002. I hated it.
There were way too many restrictions...
No caffeine (sorry, but I like my coffee too much and my day starts at 4am)...
No dairy...
No red meat...
No processed foods (let's be real here - this can be hard to do when you suddenly have a busy day or something unexpected comes up)
Plus, I even had to avoid certain fruits and veggies!
I'm sorry, but what kind of plan requires you to avoid fruits or veggies?
Now here was the kicker...
I had to drink this "cleanse" drink twice a day. It tasted like a mixture of orange juice, chunky apple sauce, and cough syrup.
I lasted 3 days before bingeing on a huge plate of beef nachos at a Mexican restaurant lol.
Hey, it
was the "thing" to do.
Cleanses were popular then.
Listen - if you feel you'll need to "suffer" on any plan whether it's a "cleanse" OR "detox, don't do it. It's not worth it.
It's one of those "I wish I knew then what I know now" situations.
One of my "mottos" is that I'll never make my coaching clients do something I wouldn't be willing to do...
So when my midlife clients ask for a "Focus and lose a lot of weight like NOW!" plans, I send them
this:
NEW 14-day plan (best for midlife and older)
They loved it because it had foods they already had in their fridge and pantry. It was simply about combining them in
specific ways.
And they loved the idea of not having to get on the floor to exercise to get results even faster...
So if you want to drop some weight "like NOW", just follow that for 14 days. The results my clients are getting is pretty wild.
Later tater,
Mikey
