Nearly 5lbs in 4 days.
Now - here's the thing. I want to be transparent with you, OK?
This is NOT normal.
She was going to a wedding and wanted to surprise her friends and extended family.
So I put her on a simple 14-day plan without starving herself, without calorie-counting, and without pounding her joints with obnoxious exercises like jumping over and over.
It was all about this combination I'm about to show you...
Secret #1 of the Combination: Tapping Into Your Glycolytic
System
Now you might be wondering, "What's so great about the glycolytic system... and what is it?"
This style of training burns fat so effectively because it creates a big "metabolic disturbance". To recover from this disturbance, it requires work from all 3 of your energy systems. This burns a significant amount of calories.
But even
better...
Glycolysis relies on energy converted from carbohydrates.
If you like carbs, that's REALLY good news. (I personally love carbs myself).
How to Train Your Glycolytic System:
Think of traditional strength training, but with less rest and higher rep
ranges...
Example circuit:
Kettlebell or Dumbbell Swings (20 reps), rest 10 secs
Push-ups (fast tempo) (15-20 reps), rest 10 secs
Kettlebell/Dumbbell Swings (20 reps), rest 10 secs
Mountain Climbers (15-20 reps/side - fast tempo)
Rest 60 seconds and repeat for 3 rounds
Warning: Too much Glycolytic System training can stump your weight-loss efforts due to metabolic fatigue (more on this below). But first, secret #2...
Secret #2 of the Combination:
High/Low Calorie "Switches"
As we age, it's easier to build up "cortisol", a hormone that actually isn't bad...
... yet too much of it can encourage fat STORAGE.
This is especially true for those that are "mid-lifers" and older.
So what I do is give my client a very simple template that brings a calorie deficit while feeling the least hungriest possible.
You see, certain combinations of foods take longer to digest, therefore
the digestion process alone burns more calories. More importantly, you're satisfied longer, helping you sustain a calorie deficit.
That means less cortisol :)
But... the bad news is when you're in a calorie deficit for too long, you experience what I call, "Metabolic
Fatigue".
This is when your nervous system is burned out, you feel fatigued and possibly irritable, and your body isn't working at an "optimized" level - including your ability to burn fat.
It can also happen when you do too much "conditioning" style workouts and it happens more to those
that are 45 and older.. certainly in their 60s and beyond.
This is when an abundance of cortisol is present...
You can fix this simply "switching" to boosting your calorie intake at the right times so you avoid metabolic fatigue and optimize your leptin levels.
By combining the right amount of Glycolytic System training and "switching" at the right times, you lose fat FASTER than ever (this is how she had such a great response in her first 5 days).
Now this can be done with or without equipment, and without joint-pounding exercises, and even without having to go on
the floor (for those that prefer to not get on the floor)...
... and it can be done with foods you most likely already have in your pantry and fridge.
This is the best exercise/diet
combo for "Mid-lifers" to lose fat fast.
If you're looking for something fast of course ;)
