I'm going to be blunt so I don't waste your time.
This is not going to be your typical "fitness" email. In fact, it's my "twist" on the upcoming celebration of Easter.
It's not about "Good Friday" or "Resurrection
Sunday"...
... but the day in between.
If that's not your thing, carry on and I hope you have a great weekend!
Still with me? Good. I hope
this gives you perspective during these uncertain times...
Friday (today), we reflect on what's called, "Good Friday". Sunday, we'll celebrate "Resurrection Sunday" when Christ defeated death.
But what about Saturday?
Nobody talks about that day. It was the day between overwhelming sadness and triumphant victory.
On that specific Saturday, I imagine many tears were shed. Doubt surely crept in. Fear suffocated the hearts of many... not to mention the uncertainty. There was nothing to do but wait.
Maybe you're stuck in a "Saturday" yourself.
You're experiencing a season of worry, doubt, or fear.
Something happened though after that dreadful Saturday...
"He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.”
- Luke 24:6-7
On Sunday, death was defeated. He said it would happen, and He keeps His promises.
So if you're experiencing a "Saturday Season", hang on tight...
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans
to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11
Your Sunday is coming, too.
