In 2017 (wow, that
was 7 years ago?), I published a book called, Rise & Hustle.
Unfortunately, it got published right around the same time these "productivity gurus" talked about "hustle".
I couldn't stand their version of hustle...
Like these 20-year olds living in the basement of their parents' home, giving life and productivity advice to "live your best life"...
... stupid stuff like, "Sleep is for when you're dead". And of course, the hashtag #Hustle.
Ugh.
The thing is...
If your health, relationships and career aren’t where you want them to be…
AND you’re working MORE THAN 40 hours per week then you’re making a BIG mistake...
The simple fact is More hours worked does NOT equal improved productivity.
In fact, research suggests that:
- 30% of people working 60 hours per week had relationship problems...
- Little productive work occurs over 50 works of
work…
Productivity declined by 25% over 60 hours…
- Working 11 hours per day increases depression risks…
Recently science has discovered a better way to get more done while working fewer hours.
Less "hustle", too
