I know you felt like you had a lot more time when the new year kicked off, but here we are...
Today kicks off spring.
And the next thing you know, we'll be talking about the fall and pumpkin patches and pumpkin flavored everything LOL.
Just kidding... sort of.
Seriously - the summer gatherings are kicking off soon. Are you ready?
Whether it’s bread, pasta, sweets, chips, or anything in between…
Your weakness can be your strength.
While the other “experts”, media, and so-called “miracle pills” say they have the “secret” to
helping you avoid and not crave your favorite foods, I must say…
“Why? What’s the fun in that?”
Do you want to always substitute your favorite dessert for some fruit?
Let's be
real here - does that sound like something you can stick to?
I don’t want you to show up at your summer gatherings with a veggie tray and avoid the desserts. That sounds miserable.
At our church fellowship dinners, we have nearly 3 tables of desserts and probably around 10 different types of delicious
breads and casseroles LOL.
Because of these wonderful foods, I thrive in my health and maintain my weight.
This probably doesn’t make any sense to you, and that’s not your fault.
That’s because fitness
“experts”, the media, and supplement companies make billions of money promising to take that craving away from you…
… only to let you feel disappointed.
To be clear, your “weakness” can propel you to success because it’s an untapped motivation tool.
This is what I’ve done (and even currently do to KEEP OFF the 115+ lbs I’ve lost) as well as my clients.
So instead of finding a way to avoid your favorite treats, find ways to INCLUDE them.
It's way easier to stick to AND it can be a
great motivation tool if done right.
This is especially true if you're doing the right cardio.
If you like to eat
and prefer to train smarter so you can have more wiggle room in your diet, then you'll want to kick off with that today.
Let's go!
Mikey
PS - Don't give up on yourself yet. It's a new season... literally.
I hope you find new perspective with this verse:
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." - 2 Corinthians 5:17
