I wasn’t always this
committed to my health.
Years ago, I was out of shape (OK, fine - OBESE), tired, depressed, and grouchy.
I even did a 10-day "cleanse" and bailed 3 days into it, feeling ashamed and guilty, thinking I was "doomed" to be big my whole life.
Eventually, I discovered who I truly was as I tapped into my potential, losing 115+
pounds, even with bad genetics. :)
But it didn't make sense because I'm a picky eater that doesn't like a lot of fruits and veggies... you know, the things you're "supposed" to eat.
Through the years, I kept learning about leptin levels and how much it impacts your hunger and metabolism.
It made
me feel better that I didn't have to like all the healthy stuff so much. I didn't have to eat salmon and asparagus to drop the weight or keep it off.
Leptin doesn't care lol.
I no longer had to feel guilty about still loving Little Debbie snacks because I'm a kid at heart!
As
long as you're naturally optimizing your leptin levels (which impacts your metabolism), you can lose all the weight you want without being a slave to rabbit food.
Keeping it off helped shape who I am physically and personally. It changed the trajectory of what I do for a living :)
In the process, I've learned to let go of feelings of resentment and regret with an energy that surprises a lot of people in
their 20s and 30s (I'm 49).
And now I can give 100% to my family.
More importantly, I've learned to let go of mistakes.
The thing is - I STILL make mistakes.
Super Bowl weekend for example lol.
The
difference is - I've learned how to give myself permission to make mistakes so I keep the weight off and not gain "Guilt Weight".
Now I show men and women how to achieve this as well.
The weight my coaching clients lose is great, but that's not the most exciting part to me.
It's them discovering
their freedom in the process.
They are free from self-sabotage, guilt, and diets.
I'm here to tell you - you don't have to "suffer" in order to get fit.
It can be fun. It can be invigorating.
